Wine of the Week

2007 Chateau Bonnet Entre Deux Mers

Shelf Price $30.00 Offer Price $25.00
50% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon, 10% Muscadelle. Very crisp, young, fruity, lemon and citrus laced wine that finishes dry and has a beautiful fresh bouquet and overall taste of summer. Hints of melon and grapefruit dance with other stone fruits possibly peach in a wonderful citrus dance on the palette. The scent of lemon citrus hits you immediately but does not over power; instead it folds into a well balanced blend of flavors.

NV Paul Bara Brut Reserve
Located in Bouzy just to the east of Epernay Paul Barra only uses estate grown fruit from Grand Cru rated vineyards. Grapes are hand harvested and sorted then pressed in a traditional wooden press on which the “retrousses” (operation in which the grapes are moved back towards the centre of the press) are performed by hand. The maturing takes place in enamel or stainless steel vats of small volume, for better control, and the must fermentation temperature is regulated. The wine contains 20% Chardonnay and 80% Pinot Noir with the use of 50% reserve wine.

NV Boizel Rose Brut
This Rosé is produced based on the traditional methode champenoise. The light color is obtained by blending a small proportion of red wine from champagne with the traditionnal "vins clairs" (still white wines). It is dominated by Pinot Noir for its finesse (about 50% of which 8% is vinified in red), combined with 30% of Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay.
