| Dear Wine Aficionado, With only a little more than 2 weeks before the Christmas break, we at Europa would like to offer out a selection of premium wines and other special bits and pieces for that special someone or to share at the table during the festivities. On offer will be iconic wines from producers such as Chateau Rayas and Chateau Grillet alongside oddities such as some 70 year old Riversaltes and some top shelf spirits. The wine of the week is Quinta de La Rosa Vale da Clara Rose 2007 from Douro, Portugal. The wine is made from indigenous port grape varietals which gives the wine lovely structure (Yes, Rose with structure!) and fruit expression but still maintaining a refreshing acidity. Summer Whites This evening Tuesday 8 December, 6 to 8 pm, In-Store, FREE With summer right on our doorstep we are looking to titillate our tastebuds with some refreshing whites. It is earthy, with aromatics of raspberries and strawberries, the palate is distinctively dry with a refreshingly mineral backbone, a defining character of good Douro wines. download order form Magnums Do you enjoy entertaining large numbers of guests? Why not try a Magnum instead of two bottles of something this Christmas? The quality of the wine in magnums are regarded superior than that of normal sized bottles plus it is a whole lot more impressive! Quantities for these are very limited. Their aromatic and defined style has made them highly sought after by Restaurants around Melbourne. This particular vintage (as Alfio Cavallotto puts it) is their "most important wine" to date. Tuesday 15th December - In store tasting - Celebratory Cheers - 6-8pm Ten days before the Christmas break and we propose some wines suited for the festive season celebrations! We will be featuring some sparkling reds, other bubbles and a cider or two; a selection of whites and reds and even sweeties!
