We only have six Châteauneuf du Pape Selection Of 6 available so please order early to avoid disappointment Shelf Price $775.00 Offer Price $659.00 2007 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf du Pape "Absolutely stunning, with a deep well of crème de cassis that's thoroughly pure and captivating, while black tea, fig cake, hoisin sauce, incense and graphite notes weave throughout. The super velvety finish lets blackberry, boysenberry and crushed cherry fruit take an encore; as if this needed any more fruit. A fantastic display of precision in a very opulent year. Best from 2010 through 2030." - 97 Points James Molesworth, Wine Spectator "Deep ruby. Powerful, pungent aromas of kirsch, dark berries, smoky herbs and spicecake, with notes of black olive and tobacco coming on with air. Chewy, palate-staining dark fruit flavors are complicated by bitter chocolate, licorice and black cardamom. Acts like a 2005 today, with serious structure but also superb depth of powerful, densely packed fruit. A hint of cherry skin adds grip and refreshing bitterness to the long, smoky, focused finish. Not an easy read right now: this demands cellaring." - 95 Points - Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzers IWC "It is a sublime expression of the art of winemaking as evidenced by its dense purple color and big, sweet kiss of kirsch, framboise, blackberries, licorice, roasted herbs, and smoked meat. It hits the palate with a fascinating combination of substance, power, full-bodied authority yet extraordinary freshness, elegance, and precision. Give it 3-4 years of cellaring, and watch it unleash its glory over the next three decades." - 99 Points Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate Shelf Price $204.00 2007 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe Châteauneuf du Pape La Crau "Packed, in a brawny, muscular style atypical for this lush vintage, with a gravelly undertow to the currant paste, braised fig and dark licorice notes. Picks up even more steam on the finish, with grilled mesquite, mineral and garrigue notes and a long, hot stone filled finish. Best from 2010 through 2030. - 95 Points - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator "Glass-staining ruby. Highly pungent bouquet offers black fruit compote, olive and floral qualities, along with a slightly high-toned quality that recedes with air. The palate-coating, deeply concentrated cassis and blackberry flavors display a slow-mounting spiciness. Pretty powerful for a wine from this estate, showing more heft and dark fruit character than usual. The finish is broad, velvety and impressively persistent. Long-time fans of this property's usually elegant style might not be over the moon for this wine's virility." - 93 Points - Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzers IWC "Dense ruby/purple-tinged with an exquisite nose of salty sea breezes, licorice, ground pepper, jammy black cherries, black currants, figs, and plums, this is a full-bodied, rich, Provencal-styled offering with lots of sweet, ripe tannin. It is surprisingly accessible for a Vieux Telegraphe (this wine normally shuts down several years after bottling), but it should have great longevity (25+ years) given its power, full-bodied mouthfeel, and enormous length and richness." - 96+ Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate Shelf Price $144.00 2007 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe Châteauneuf du Pape Telegramme "A fresh, pure, silky style, with red currant, licorice and shiso leaf notes gliding over the long, supple, minerally finish. Textbook for the vintage, with the fruit and minerality stretching out at the end. Drink now through 2017." 90 Points James Molesworth, Wine Spectator "Deep red. Captivating aromas of black raspberry, wild rose, Asian spices and smoked meat. Brighter red fruits on the palate, with notes of cola and candied flowers gaining strength with air. Showing more depth, richness and warmth than last year. Finishes with very good grip and an echo of smoke." - 90 Points - Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzers IWC "The outstanding 2007 Telegramme Chateauneuf du Pape (15.8% alcohol) offers notes of kirsch liqueur, spring flowers, and framboise, medium to full body, good acidity, a beautiful texture, and a luscious, heady finish. It is best drunk over the next 5-6 years." 90 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate Shelf Price $89.00 2007 Pierre Usseglio Châteauneuf du Pape "A clean, pure, rounded version, offering cherry pie, red licorice, sweet toast and pretty spice notes that are well-entwined and linger through the medium-weight finish. Drink now through 2019." 90 Points - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator "Dark red. Expressive aromas of red berries and cherry, with notes of smoky garrigue and dried flowers adding complexity. Spicy and pure, with an exotic floral note joining the mineral-driven raspberry and cherry flavors. Finishes smooth and sweet, with little in the way of obvious tannins. This is delicious now." - 92 Points - Josh Raynolds, Stepen Tanzers IWC The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape (a blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, and the rest Counoise, Cinsault, and Syrah) had a traditional upbringing in tank and old wood foudres, with less than 10% kept in small barrels. It offers classic Provencal notes of ground pepper, roasted herbs, sweet black cherries, meat juices, truffles, and kirsch. Enjoy this upfront Chateauneuf over the next decade." 90 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate Shelf Price $89.00 2005 Domaine de Beaurenard Châteauneuf du Pape Boisrenard rouge "This lush beauty really tames the rugged structure of the vintage, offering gorgeous boysenberry and raspberry confiture layered with mocha, Turkish coffee, licorice and fig paste notes. The long finish has great grip, though it's remarkably well-embedded, allowing the exotic spice notes to linger beautifully. Best from 2010 through 2030. " - 96 Points - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator "Inky ruby. Exotically perfumed nose offers a striking array of red and dark berries, flowers and garrigue Fresh cherry and boysenberry flavors are sweetened by vanillin oak and candied licorice, finishing with gentle grip and superb persistence. Leaves a lingering spicy quality on the palate, along with clinging dark fruit preserves." - 94 Points - Josh Raynolds Stephen Tanzers IWC. "Dense dark ruby/purple with a nose of pain grille, melted licorice, espresso, chocolate, blackberry and cherry, the modern-styled 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Boisrenard has little evidence of spicy oak but is deep in color, structured, masculine, with less flesh than some of the previous top vintages such as 1998, 2000, and 2001, but with plenty of power, concentration, and intensity. This is certainly one of the best Boisrenards since the 2001, and needs a good 4-5 years of bottle age. It should keep for at least two-plus decades." 92+ Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate Shelf Price $139.00 2005 Domaine Charvin Châteauneuf du Pape "Forward and lush for the vintage, with dark currant and fig paste flavors backed by licorice, coffee, garrigue and braised beef notes. The long, smoky finish has a lingering touch of mesquite. The profile is black fruit, but the structure is remarkably elegant for the vintage, with lovely poise. Drink now through 2023." - 94 Points James Molesworth, Wine Spectator "Bright ruby. Vibrant red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by suave mineral and fresh floral nuances. Resembles a great pinot noir in its clarity and sexy raspberry expression, with silky tannins adding grip. Gains weight on the finish, picking up cherry and cassis preserve qualities, with no loss of energy or focus. I love this wine's suave texture." 94 points - Josh Raynolds, Stepen Tanzers IWC "Dark ruby with notes of underbrush, the seaweed wrapper nori, kirsch liqueur, and a bit of pepper and spice box, it is deep and broad, with outstanding concentration, moderately high tannin, and a nicely structured, pure mouthfeel. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2022." 93 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate Shelf Price $110.00 download order form Tastings February & March Tuesday 23 February - Portugal New Arrivals - 6-8pm Instore free Tuesday 2 March - French Whites - 6-8pm Instore free Tuesday 9 March - Greece New Arrivals - 6-8pm Instore free Tuesday 16 March - German Riesling - 6-8pm Instore free Tuesday 23 March - Southern Rhone - 6-8pm Instore free Tuesday 30 March - Affordable Burgundy - 6-8pm Instore free On Saturday 10 April 2004, new Australian Federal Government legislation came into force that requires that no unsolicited emails be sent without the permission of the recipient.
