In keeping with all things French, this week we are offering 2 different 6-packs showcasing the best from France. They feature wines from more well known appellations as well as a few little treasures.

Village 6-pack

2007 Bonnet Entre-Deux-Mers Blanc
50% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon, 10% Muscadelle
"Aromas of white peach, lime and lemon lead to a medium body, with bright acidity and a long, fresh finish. A solid value in white Bordeaux." 87 points Wine Spectator

2007 Jurque Jurancon Sec
50% Gros Manseng, 50% Petit Manseng
The aromas of flowers and fruit are fine and intense. Honeysuckle, jasmine, grapefruit, citrus and fresh grapes are evident. On the palate the wine is fresh, fruity and rich with a long fleshy finish.

2008 Bernard Moreau Bourgogne Blanc
100% Chardonnay
Bright unoaked silver-yellow colour, splendid critus bouquet with a hint of peach, excellent fruit body and a delight to drink.

2007 Denis Pommier Bourgogne Rouge
100% Pinot Noir
Fresh and pure with ripe red fruit, hibiscus, bergamot tea, redwood duff, and spice.  Ripe tannins provide a lovely framework for an elegant and finessed wine.

2005 Rimauresq Cotes de Provence Rouge

A fruity, medium-bodied red, displaying plum and dried raspberry flavors, with plenty of tannic kick.

2006 Vieux Chene 'Plan de Dieu' Cotes du Rhone Village

Premier Cru 6-pack

1999 Boizel Brut Millesime
50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier

2005 Lucien Crochet 'Cuvee Prestige' Sancerre Blanc
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Pale yellow, clear in colour; a powerful and concentrated nose, with aromas of citrus and dried apricot; the palate is rich with flavours of white-fleshed fruit, lychee and pear. Well affirmed acidity gives this wine lovely balance.

2005 Lucien le Moine Corton-Charlemagne
100% Chardonnay
"A powerful white that starts off gently, picking up intensity and complexity as its layers unfold on the palate. Hints of pineapple and apricot are framed by smoky oak and backed by a vibrant structure. The chalky mineral character lingers on the aftertaste." 93 points Wine Spectator

2006 Dugat Py Pommard Vielles Vignes
100% Pinot Noir
"Offers blackberry, red currant and oak spice notes, with plenty of grip and dense tannins. A rich, round, modern style that should come forward soon." 90 points Wine Spectator

2007 Pegau 'Cuvee Reservee' Chateauneuf du Pape
75% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 5% Mouvedre
"This packs it all together, with the ripe plum sauce, braised fig and currant paste notes of the vintage matched with invigorating hoisin sauce, brick dust and grilled beef notes. The long finish drips with fruit, but stays framed by a wild edge that keeps this firmly planted in terroir." 95 points Wine Spectator

2001 Clos du Clocher Pomerol
100% Pinot Noir
"Good aromas of blackberries and meat with a hint of oak. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a caressing finish. Nice wine already." 89 points Wine Spectator
