| Dear Wine Aficionado, This week we release our tasting schedule for the month of August. First up is our cheap and cheerful Chilean tasting on Tuesday 4 August. Our wine of the week is the Valduero Crianza 2002 from Ribera del Duero. This was a favourite at the tasting held last week. For the fans of wines from the South-West of France, we have a Cellar Release Clos Triguedina Wine Dinner at Libertine in North Melbourne, the dinner will feature wines from Clos Triguedina’s own cellars and will include both the current and back vintages of Clos Triguedina and its flagship wine, Prince Probus. The winery was founded in 1984 in Gumiel del Mercado, a small village in the county of Burgos, located 10 miles north-west of Aranda de Duero, right in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. 100% Tempranillo from dry grown bush vines with an average age of 12 years. The grapes are hand picked and placed in 14 kg boxes. The wine is then aged in 2 different types of oak barrels for 15 months where it is then bottled and then aged for an additional 12 months before release. download order form Cellar Release Clos Triguedina Dinner at Libertine The South West Dinner at Libertine on Thursday 10 September will feature the wines of one estate the famous Clos Trigudena. This 57ha vineyard produces some of the best regarded wines of the Cahors appellation. The wines will include vintages of Clos Trigudena from 1967, 1975 1982 and 2000 as well as two vintages of the flagship Probus from 1980 and 1985.
