Taste Le Tour - Wines for your tour

For fans of cycling the Tour de France is perhaps the highlight of the sports calendar. To help you keep pace with the peleton, we have put together some special mixed dozens. Anyone who follows the coverage on SBS will be familiar with the Taste Le tour segment where French chef Gabriel Gate introduces the specialities of the region , and sommelier Christian Maier introduces the wines.
This year we have again assembled a selection of wines from each of the areas the Tour passes through, allowing you to give an authentic flavour to your nightly viewing.

The first mixed dozen will take you through the first seven days of the tour.
(You may need to enlist some help)

Wine substitutions have been made from those featured in the program where stock has not been available. However the area and style remains the same

Iberian Peninsula Month

July is Iberian peninsula month at Europa cellars, where we take an in-depth look at the regions and the wines of Spain and Portugal. We kick things off with a tasting showcasing the wine regions of Rioja, Rias Baixas and Navarra. Following on in the coming weeks are affordable fortifieds; Ribera del Duero, Rueda, and the Douro; and to finish Portuguese and Spanish premium wines. We are also introducing this month to our range of beers the famous Moritz beer brewed in Barcelona.

Born on the 4th of July

The other major event this fourth of July is of course American Independence Day. To celebrate we are offering a special price on Francis Ford Coppola's Californian sparkling wine, Sofia. Pick up a bottle in-store for $33.00 (normally $39.00)
